Utility description: Daclatasvir Assay Checker

Daclatasvir Assay Checker — Daclatasvir Quality Control

ℹ️ Utility checks critical parameters of daclatasvir:
    • Assay (on dry basis) 98.0–102.0%
    • Specific Impurity A ≤0.5%
    • Any other single impurity ≤0.10%
    • Total impurities ≤1.0%
    • Water ≤5.0%
    • Residual solvents ≤3000 ppm

⚠️ CRITICAL: Daclatasvir is sensitive to oxidation and hydrolysis.
Strict impurity control is necessary for antiviral therapy efficacy.

Usage:
DaclatasvirAssayChecker.exe → demo mode (console output)
  DaclatasvirAssayChecker.exe input.csv output.json → evaluate your data

Input format:
BatchNumber,AssayPercent,SpecificImpurityAPercent,AnyOtherSingleImpurityPercent,TotalImpuritiesPercent,WaterContentPercent,ResidualSolventsPPM

Example:
  DAC-HCl-2026-001,99.5,0.15,0.05,0.35,2.5,1200

— WHY IS THIS NEEDED?
Daclatasvir is a direct-acting antiviral agent (NS5A inhibitor) used for Hepatitis C treatment.
It is a complex molecule requiring strict quality control:
• High assay ensures accurate dosing.
• Impurities may form during synthesis (intermediate residues) or storage (oxidation).
• Hygroscopicity of the salt requires water control.
• Residual solvents are controlled per ICH Q3C.

⚠️ CRITICAL:
• Assay 98.0–102.0% (on dry basis).
• Specific impurities strictly limited (≤0.5%).
• Total impurities ≤1.0%.
• Water ≤5.0% (for dihydrochloride).
• Residual solvents must comply with ICH safety classes.

Key features:
• Comprehensive API quality assessment.
• Control of specific and unidentified impurities.
• Physical state assessment (moisture, solvents).
• Compliance with GMP requirements for antivirals.

Critical parameters:
• Assay: 98.0–102.0%
• Specific Impurity A: ≤0.5%
• Any other single impurity: ≤0.10%
• Total impurities: ≤1.0%
• Water: ≤5.0%
• Residual solvents: ≤3000 ppm

💡 Usage tips:
1. Analysis method: HPLC with UV detector (often 254 nm or 300 nm).
2. Sample preparation should account for light sensitivity.
3. GC is used for residual solvent determination.
4. Store in a place protected from light and moisture.

⚠️ Note: Daclatasvir is often used in combination with asunaprevir or sofosbuvir, so purity of each component is critical for therapy success.
