Utility description: Crc Screening Result Gate

Crc Screening Result Gate Checker — CRC Screening Result Validation

ℹ️ Utility performs specialized verification of CRC screening test results according to FDA De Novo/PMA requirements and USPSTF guidelines:
     • Analytical Validity: Verification of internal controls, DNA sufficiency, and absence of inhibition.
     • Algorithmic Correctness: Verification of calculated score correspondence to declared raw result.
     • Clinical Completeness: Guarantee of colonoscopy recommendation for every positive result.
     • Indeterminate Zone: Identification of results in gray zone between positive and negative thresholds.
     • Release Classification: REPORTABLE_POSITIVE / REPORTABLE_NEGATIVE / INVALID / INDETERMINATE.

⚠️ IMPORTANT:
     • Screening test applies to asymptomatic population — cost of false result is extremely high.
     • Positive result without follow-up recommendation is clinically useless and ethically unacceptable.
     • Insufficient DNA may lead to false-negative result, missing early cancer.

Usage:
CrcScreeningResultGateChecker.exe → demo mode (console output)
  CrcScreeningResultGateChecker.exe input.csv output.json → evaluate your data

Input format:
SampleID,TestPlatform,AlgorithmScore,PositiveThreshold,IndeterminateLowerBound,IndeterminateUpperBound,InternalControl_Pass,DnaInput_ng,MinDnaInput_ng,InhibitionControl_Pass,RawResult,FollowUpRecommendation_Present,AgeEligible

Example:
  CRC-001,Shield,0.82,0.65,0.55,0.65,true,35.0,10.0,true,Positive,true,true

📍 Scope of Application (Usage Where):
     • Screening Laboratories: Final check before result delivery to patient/physician.
     • IVD Manufacturers: Interpretation algorithm validation during test development.
     • Regulatory Submissions: Documentation of gate-keeping logic for FDA/CE-IVDR.
     • Population Screening Programs: Quality control of mass testing.

— WHY IS THIS NEEDED?
CRC screening affects fate of thousands of asymptomatic individuals.
False-positive leads to unnecessary invasive colonoscopy with complication risks.
False-negative misses curable early-stage cancer.
Automated gate eliminates technical interpretation errors and guarantees clinical completeness of every report.

⚠️ CRITICAL:
• Follow-Up Mandatory: Positive result without colonoscopy recommendation = INVALID.
• DNA Sufficiency: Below minimum = INVALID (false-negative risk).
• Score-Raw Concordance: Score/raw mismatch = systemic algorithm error.
• Indeterminate Zone: Gray zone results MUST NOT be reported as positive or negative.

Key features:
• Four-status screening result classification
• Mandatory follow-up recommendation check
• Indeterminate zone control
• Algorithm concordance verification
• Compliance with FDA CRC screening guidance

Critical parameters:
• Internal Control: Pass
• DNA Input: ≥ Minimum
• Inhibition Control: Pass
• Score vs Threshold: Correct classification
• Follow-Up Recommendation: Present if Positive

💡 Usage tips:
1. Thresholds: Use only manufacturer-validated thresholds — do not establish your own.
2. Indeterminate Protocol: Pre-define action protocol for indeterminate results (repeat, alternative test).
3. Age: Verify patient eligibility for screening age (45-75 per USPSTF).
4. Communication: Positive results must include clear instructions for primary care physician.
5. Monitoring: Track % indeterminate and invalid as process KPI.

⚠️ Note: This utility is a screening result validation tool. It does not replace physician's clinical decision on colonoscopy referral but guarantees that result is technically reliable and clinically complete.

QA/QC and change control

  • Do not rename columns without updating validator, documentation and test set.
  • Retain input.csv, output.json, executable version and checksum.
  • Before production use, perform IQ/OQ/PQ or equivalent CSV/CSA verification.
  • Critical limits shall be verified against the approved specification, registration dossier and local SOPs.
  • The utility provides structured QC decision support; final release decision remains with QA/QP and approved procedures.
