Utility description: Embryonated Egg Batch Traceability

Embryonated Egg Batch Traceability Checker — Embryonated Egg Batch Control

ℹ️ Utility performs Incoming Quality Control (IQC) of chicken embryonated eggs according to Ph. Eur. 5.2.2 and USP <97>:
     • SPF Status: Mandatory confirmation of absence of specific pathogens.
     • Embryo Age: Verification of incubation day compliance with technological requirements (usually 9-12 days).
     • Viability: Assessment of live embryo percentage by candling.
     • Integrity: Control of broken shell percentage to prevent bacterial contamination.
     • Delivery Conditions: Monitoring of transport temperature.

⚠️ IMPORTANT:
     • Eggs are biological raw material susceptible to rapid degradation.
     • Breach of cold chain or storage limits makes them unsuitable for virus inoculation.

Usage:
EmbryonatedEggBatchTraceabilityChecker.exe → demo mode (console output)
  EmbryonatedEggBatchTraceabilityChecker.exe input.csv output.json → evaluate your data

Input format:
SupplierBatchID,SupplierName,IncubationDays,SPFCertified,ViabilityPercent,BrokenShellsPercent,TransportTemp_Avg_C,TotalEggsReceived,ReceiptDate

Example:
  EGG-001,Valo,10,true,96.5,0.5,18.5,500,2026-06-01

📍 Scope of Application (Usage Where):
     • Viral Vaccine Production: Influenza, Yellow Fever, Tick-borne Encephalitis.
     • Diagnostics: Production of viral antigens for test systems.
     • Raw Material Warehouse: Receipt and quarantine of biological materials.
     • Veterinary Control: Verification of poultry farm health certificates.

— WHY IS THIS NEEDED?
Quality of viral vaccines directly depends on embryo health.
Use of infected or weak eggs leads to low virus titer or presence of foreign agents in the final product.
Automated verification eliminates human error risk during receipt of large quantities of egg trays.

⚠️ CRITICAL:
• SPF Status: Absence of SPF certificate is an absolute contraindication for use in pharmaceutical production.
• Viability: Low viability (<90%) indicates supplier issues or transport condition violations.
• Broken Shells: Even micro-cracks can become gates for bacteria and mold.
• Age: Too young or old embryos do not support replication of certain viruses.

Key features:
• Automatic SPF certificate verification
• Physical quality parameter assessment (viability, shells)
• Logistics temperature regime control
• Acceptance/rejection report generation
• Compliance with pharmacopoeial requirements

Critical parameters:
• SPF Certified: True/False
• Incubation Days: 9-12 (depends on virus)
• Viability: ≥ 90%
• Broken Shells: ≤ 2%
• Transport Temp: 15-25°C

💡 Usage tips:
1. Candling: Perform selective candling immediately upon receipt.
2. Quarantine: Eggs must be quarantined until laboratory sterility test results are received.
3. Documentation: Save supplier certificates together with utility report.
4. Usage Deadline: Eggs must be used within 24-48 hours after delivery.
5. Suppliers: Work only with accredited SPF poultry farms.

⚠️ Note: This utility checks physical and documentary compliance of the batch. It does not replace laboratory tests for absence of specific antibodies or viruses if required by internal SOPs.

QA/QC and change control

  • Do not rename columns without updating validator, documentation and test set.
  • Retain input.csv, output.json, executable version and checksum.
  • Before production use, perform IQ/OQ/PQ or equivalent CSV/CSA verification.
  • Critical limits shall be verified against the approved specification, registration dossier and local SOPs.
  • The utility provides structured QC decision support; final release decision remains with QA/QP and approved procedures.
